3 Dogs & A Chick's luau anniversary party this past Saturday was a washout (Nicole blamed me for the bad weather)!

However, she also has plans for a Dog Pirate Parade as part of the Billy Bowlegs festival.  On Thursday June 4 bring your best matey to bark the plank.

I am giving gift certificates to 3 Dogs & A Chick for a raffle ticket fundraiser.  The ticket sales will support military working dogs, and you could win a free private doga class!

Please visit 3 Dogs & A Chick's website www.3dogsandachick.com for more information on the party schedule and supporting the military working dogs.

I am coordinating with Nicole Poch of 3 Dogs & A Chick for her 1st anniversary luau social this Saturday 5/23.

If you have not yet been to a 3 Dogs & A Chick social, you're missing out!  Nicole operates this bakery and boutique in Downtown Fort Walton Beach.  Her store bakes fresh (and my dogs endorse as very yummy) treats and birthday cakes.  She also has a full line of chew treats, dog food, accessory items, and more.  She even has some special items for our feline friends.

Nicole opens her doors about once per month to fellow dog people and their dogs to get together, have fun, enjoy treats, and find out more about her store.  3 Dogs & A Chick also has various rescue groups attend her socials to help shelter dogs find their fur-ever homes.

I am planning to attend, and to partner with 3 Dogs & A Chick in a raffle fundraiser.  Please come on Saturday 5/23 to find out the details!

The Crestview Kitty Group - Jason Williams & company - will be at the Crestview Courthouse on Thursday May 21 from 8am until 11am.

This rally is in response to the case of James Decatur Lee, accused of beating helpless kittens to death with a broom handle.  He is supposedly quoted as saying he used the broom handle "whenever something needed knocked in the head."

Please, if you have the time, come and support the victims!  Let our court system know that we will not tolerate animal abuse in Okaloosa County!

You can contact Jason via email [email protected]

WOW!  Yesterday was a very busy day!

I started at PAWS at 9am for my volunteer doga with the shelter dogs.  The kennel tech said "If you're looking for a dog that could use some calming down, we have one for you!"  So I got to meet Sadie, a female German Shepherd mix.  She was so excited she was panting a hundred miles an hour, drooling, and nearly choked herself on her slip lead!  I decided to do a grounding, lunar energy practice to try to connect her root chakra, and quiet the upper chakras (especially the third eye). By savasana, she was lying by my side with her head on my arm.   By the way, she LOVED having her feet massaged!  Of course, anyone who is interested in volunteering with the doga for shelter dogs, contact PAWS (you can visit the PAWS page for info).

Next I had a private consultation with JJ Gormley-Etchells of Eureka Yoga.  I was so nervous, because JJ is, like, famous!  But she was great!  JJ tells me my adrenals are off, my liver is sluggish, and my energy is imbalanced (my left side is more active than my right).  JJ designed a "prescription" practice to help my imbalances, complete with pranayama.  Let's see how her practice manifests any changes for me...

Later I sponsored Yappy Hour again at Tijuana Flats.  I think the overcast sky kept some people home, but the crowd that was there was full of new faces I hadn't met before.  As always, it was a great time!  Thanks again to my participants for the yoga mat give-away, and congratulations to the winner!  But who knew the tree that swayed in the wind the most was the most grounded?!?
