We've made it through Christmas & Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa!

My family added a Wii game system to our house on Christmas day.  My son Cade loves it.  He's played at a few of his friends' houses, and he was thrilled to have one of his own.

I must say, change has a way of opening our eyes to truth - satya.  I've been a regular yoga practitiner for about 15 years.  I walk wound most days carrying a 20-pound infant on my hip.  I do the normal housework duties - sweeping, mopping, folding, etc.  While I am not as fit as I'd like to be, I consider myself pretty healthy.  After a weekend of playing Wii, especially swordplay duel with crazy Cade, my arms and shoulders ache.  Satya has a way of revealing itself, whether you like it or not.

Have a wonderful and safe New Year holiday!

Here we are getting closer and closer to Christmas.  Last Saturday I had a wonderful event filled time.  Big thanks to Debbie Revell and the rest of the Pets Behave staff - and congratulations to Sheila Baez on her new baby.  Connor was quite pleased to stand in and give Sheila and her husband some baby practice.

Big thanks also to Amy Likins of All One Yoga.  Don Daniels was wonerful to listen to, as always.  He has such wonderful light energy that just fills a room.  Cade had a great time chanting, drumming, and showing off his new toys.

Tomorrow, Saturday Dec 19 Nicole Poch is having her Howliday Social at 3 Dogs & A Chick.  There will be lots of human & doggie goodies, an ornament making station, and more.  Come and join in the fun!

Yes, the holidays are upon us with all the weight we can bear.  This time of year causes most of us to reflect upon the past year, to re-examine our relationships, and hopefully to express the divine joy and light that is in each of us.

Tomorrow I will be joining Debbie Revell and the rest of the Pets Behave staff for a holiday gathering.

Later tomorrow evening I will join Amy Likins at All One Yoga & Wellness for the holiday open house with Don Daniels.  I encourage all of you to come join us Saturday at 6pm.  You can learn more by visiting http://www.alloneyogafwb.com/

Yesterday I told my son Cade the story "The Gift of the Magi," as best as I could remember, and could translate into 1st grade terms.  I hope he understood the meaning...

As you may know from reading the blog, I have been active with the Crestview Kitty Group for over a year now.

This grass-roots group is continuing to evolve - including a new name!  Now called the Animal Justice Rally Group, we think this new name better suits the intent behind the group.

Monday December 14 is the next AJRG rally.  Please come join us between 12:30 - 3:00pm in front of the Crestview Courthouse!
