Michelle McCormick is the doga class guide. Michelle has been practicing yoga for almost two decades. She has also held a group fitness instructor certification with ACE (American Council on Exercise), and studied Athletic Training at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
Michelle blends several schools of yoga to create the doga class. As she says, "Doga is about spending time with our dogs. During class, we show them the door, we invite them through, but we don't make our dogs do anything. If our dogs decide they would rather do something else, we honor that - but we keep inviting them through the door."
Michelle's family includes her husband, two sons, a daughter, three dogs (JoJo, Tressel, and Bubble Puppy), and four cats (Bailey, Frost, Zoi, and Mahogany). All her animals are rescues.
Michelle is also a member of the Animal Justice Rally Group, and often provides foster housing for dogs awaiting adoption.
