Yesterday I was back at PAWS for shelter doga - it was geat to be back!
My partner was a young female black lab with soulful eyes named Cindy. She is heartworm positive.
I did a very gentle restorative practice. I didn't ask very much of Cindy - I wanted to help calm her, while at the same time do a little bit of heart openers and twists to help with immunity. She is such an energetic, playful girl!
PAWS director Tricia Bryant says they have seen a drop in the number of surrendered animals they are taking in. That's great news! Hopefully it's a sign the economy is stabilizing, and people aren't being forced to choose between rent and pets...
Doga at PAWS is the first Thursday of each month - please come join in!
